Assalamualaikum you lovely people out there...the heat is really taking it's toll...i was out the whole day yesterday and i felt like uurrghhhh *pengsannn!!*..i was fruit hunting & i came back a bit disappointed because i couldn't get my hands on fresh raspberries...
few days back mr hubs came home and blurted out .."kita kena masak nasi beryani..for 60 people..nah duit orang tu bagi.." i was like....WHAT??? dah kenapa dengan mamat nih..(dalam hati je la he he) and my face turned automatically from :-) to :-((( teruk betul my manager ni..hampir hampir nak kena sack!! ha ha..
anyway as the day approaching nearer and nearer i learnt to accept my takdir...dah tertulis sejak azali on certain date i am supposed to cook nasi beryani for certain number of people..it is not that i don't want to help..but never ever in my life had i cook beryani sebanyak itu without the watchful eyes of mummy dearest..so where else can i turn to kan? bermula la episod calling her non stop..."mummy..bawang berapa banyak...bla bla bla..."..tengok tengok kat dapur rempah tak cukup..aiyoo...mana nak korek nih...i never buy rempah beryani here in kl..normally bawak from jb...then this close friend of mine pun came to the rescue.."kat rumah i ada..berapa peket u nak?" phewww..lega....tq awa...
to cut a long story short..with the help of my so called 'manager' (kena la tolong..siapa suruh setuju nak masak) alhamdulillah all went well though the lauk kurang kuah sikit..it would be nicer kalau kuah banyak lagi tapi majlis aqiqah tu went very well & we received good review..he he..kembang semangkuk kejap mak!!

when everything has been safely delivered, i thought that was it..a one in a lifetime thing..eh eh..belum hilang penat ada la pulak orang nak order lagi..again i went like "WHAT????" he he..ingatkan dia main main..but obviously not..so lepas fikir2..i decided to try..thank you intan for trusting me...(plus the RVC and congo bar)..let us pray everything will go smoothly..inshaAllah..i still find it hard to believe ni...takuut oooo...
today the hunt for raspberries continues..so i will cerita about my wonderful baking class in the next posting inshaAllah...but before i sign off for today..i leave you with two pictures of the red velvet cake..a very comot one i must say..but this is a challenge for me to improvise..inshaAllah some day my bakes will be of better looking & taste..anyway..again tq awa...
